Position Vector transformation (geog2D domain)
Derived in 2001 at 31 points of the German GPS Network DREF in former East Germany. Although for high accuracy limited to Saxony, may be taken as approximate transformation between DHDN and WGS 84 for all former East German states - see code 15869.

Consistent with DHDN (CRS code 4314) at the 1-metre level. For low accuracy applications RD/83 can be considered the same as DHDN. See CRS code 5668 for variant with axes order reversed to easting before northing for use in GIS applications.
